Ch. 2: A Message from Tomorrow

Share Chapter

Aryan barely slept that night. The mysterious broadcast echoed in his mind. If the old radio had predicted the future once, could it do it again?

At exactly midnight, he switched the radio on.

For a few seconds, there was only static. Then the same strange voice returned.

“A fire will break out at Green Market tomorrow at 4:15 p. M. A young girl wearing a red jacket will be trapped inside.”

The signal ended.

Aryan stared at the radio. His heart raced. Yesterday‘s prediction had come true, and he couldn’t ignore this one.

The next afternoon, he rushed to Green Market. Everything looked normal until thick black smoke rose from an electronics shop. Within moments, people were screaming and running in every direction.

Aryan remembered the warning.

Looking through the crowd, he spotted a frightened little girl wearing a bright red jacket near the burning entrance.

Without thinking twice, he ran into the smoke, grabbed her hand, and guided her safely outside just before firefighters arrived.

The crowd applauded as the girl was reunited with her parents, but Aryan wasn't celebrating.

How had the radio known this would happen?

That evening, his best friend Meera noticed his worried expression.

“You‘ve been acting strange since yesterday,” she said. “What’s going on?”

Aryan hesitated. He knew no one would believe him.

Finally, he whispered, “I think… I can hear tomorrow.”

Meera laughed at first, but after seeing the seriousness in his eyes, she stopped smiling.

“If that‘s true,” she said quietly, “then tonight… I’m listening with you.”

As midnight approached, the old radio sat silently on the table, waiting to reveal another impossible secret.
