Reading a web novel alone is fine. Reading one alongside a few hundred people arguing about what the antagonist is actually planning is a different experience entirely. The ChapterChase forum is where that happens. Here is how it is organised and how to get the most from it.
How the forum is structured
Novel discussion boards
Every novel on the platform has its own board. Chapter reaction threads, theory posts, character debates and author question sessions live there. If you are mid series and want to know whether anyone else caught the detail in chapter 112, this is where you go. Browse them from novel discussions.
Comic discussion boards
The same structure applies to comics, with their own boards under comic discussions.
General boards
Recommendation requests, writing craft discussion, platform news and general community chat sit outside any single series. This is the best place to start if you do not have a series yet and want one.
The leaderboard
The leaderboard tracks the most active contributors. It is not just vanity: consistent quality contribution feeds into achievements and Pran rewards.
Getting value out of it as a reader
- Post a recommendation request with specifics. "Recommend me something good" gets nothing. "I want a slow burn cultivation series with a competent protagonist and no harem" gets five solid answers.
- Follow the board for a series you are actively reading. New chapter discussion threads become a weekly ritual.
- Use search before posting. The forum search will usually surface an existing thread on your question.
- Ask the author. Many authors are active in their own boards and answer worldbuilding questions directly.
Getting value out of it as an author
Your novel board is the single highest leverage marketing surface you have, and it is free. Authors who show up in their board see materially better retention, because a reader who has had a conversation with you is far less likely to drop the series. Post chapter notes, run polls on side story ideas, answer the theory threads without confirming spoilers.
Community etiquette
- No spoilers in thread titles. This is the rule everyone cares about most. Put the chapter number in the title and the spoiler in the body.
- Criticise the work, not the author. Detailed critical reviews are welcome; personal attacks are not.
- Do not link pirate mirrors. It takes money out of the pocket of the person writing the thing you are discussing.
- Tag your posts accurately so search actually works for the next person.
