Relief or is it?

Relief or is it

Riya enters her room and close the door behind her with a bang. She locks it from inside. She sits on the bed; with a tightened grip on the bed sheet. And then she shouts
“Get the hell out of here, you mad women”
“I don’t care what shit you say. I will do what I like”
While she did shout, she took care to ensure that the voice don’t percolate out of her room. In case it does, it’s too feeble to make sense of. This has been her way of expressing her anger and frustration with someone she can’t openly engage with.
This is not for fear or shame or anything. She hardly care for any of these emotions. Just that the first one do come lurking at the bark of a dog, by the way.
She is quite outspoken and speaks her mind out. But that’s usually when the one at receiving end is not an accquaintance. If that’s the case she prefer venting her frustration in the silence.
Feeling a bit relieved, she falls down on her bed, and in a moments time, fall into deep sleep. May be her tiredness from continous and labor filled preparation for exam, all these days, had a say. She slept with her school uniform on and bag thown on floor.

An hour passed and silence dawns in Riya’s house.. The guests gone, grandma retired to bed and her mom and aunt at the kitchen and father back to his school. In the kitchen, Riya’s mother was cutting vegetables and then a phone rings up. Hearing it, she rush out of her kitchen. She enters the hall and there she find a phone ringing. Whose it is. Probably Riya’s father’s,It’s he who has such a ringtone. He might have forgotten it here as he usually does, she thought. She reach out to the phone and the call is from ‘my love’. Seeing the name on the screen, Riya’s mother stands startled. Both me and Riya at home, who could it be, she thought. What would happen to me and Riya, now? As she got immersed in these thoughts, the call gets cut. Within no time, it starts ringing again.
Emboldening her mind, she took the call and answered rather sternly, “Hello who’s it? “.
