## Synopsis
In the heart of Manila, where the Pasig River's murky waters meet the bustling stalls of Quiapo, Pilandok is just a fish vendor with a quick tongue and a quicker mind. But when a powerful developer known as the Crocodile threatens to swallow the entire market with a flood of paperwork and bulldozers, Pilandok must use every trick from the old stories to save his family's livelihood. With the help of his grandmother's wisdom and the community's bayanihan spirit, Pilandok sets a trap that turns the river itself into an ally. As the storm clouds gather and the water rises, the battle for the market becomes a test of wit against greed, where the smallest creature can outsmart the mightiest predator. A modern retelling of a beloved Philippine folk tale, The River's Gambit is a story of resilience, cunning, and the power of community. An AI-assisted retelling of the trickster tale "Pilandok and the Crocodile" from Philippines.
