Chapter 34: Chapter 34 — Visitors
Heaven’s Eternal Gate
By Author“You are the artifact spirit of the Fathomless Yellow Spring Diagram?”
Fang Han communicated with the flood-dragon through his mind.
The moment he made contact, he felt a pressure as vast as rivers and mountains.
It was like standing before the Dragon Abyss River — the great waterway that ran across the entire Great Li Dynasty, the very dragon vein of the empire.
This dragon’s presence felt no weaker.
“Such overwhelming aura…”
Fang Han almost found it hard to breathe.
“My origin itself is a dynasty’s dragon vein,”
the flood-dragon replied.
“Of course I am powerful.
But I was gravely wounded. Only a fragment of my soul remains.
If you can feed me 3,636 pure-yang treasures like the one today, I will gradually recover.
When that day comes, you will no longer need to hide.
You will inherit the Yellow Spring Emperor’s legacy and become a Demon Emperor, ruling heaven and earth.”
“What wounded you?”
Fang Han asked.
“Immortals of the heavens,”
the dragon chanted, voice echoing through eternity.
“They were seeking the legendary Gate of Eternal Life…
That gate — once opened — grants indestructibility, immortality beyond time,
‘When sun and moon perish, I remain; when heaven and earth decay, I remain.’
But such matters are beyond your reach.”
Fang Han frowned.
“The Gate of Eternal Life? Sounds like madness.”
“You don’t seem excited,”
the dragon said.
“Do you not desire to become Demon Emperor?”
Fang Han replied calmly:
“The path of cultivation cannot be walked by relying on a single treasure.
True power is forged step by step, through will, perseverance, wisdom, and fortune.
Otherwise the world would be filled with emperors.”
The dragon laughed softly.
“Good. You understand the Dao of cultivation.
Bring me pure-yang treasures when you can,
and I shall teach you the supreme arts of the Yellow Spring Sect.”
Fang Han nodded.
Then he said bluntly:
“You devoured the Heavenly Rooster Rope and nearly got me killed.
Yuhua Sect will investigate this.
If they trace it to me, I die — and so do you.
We must solve that first.”
The dragon paused.
“Your blood contains the aura of the Yellow Spring Emperor.
You are my perfect hiding place.
Also — the Yellow Spring River is a small independent world.
You may now store items within it.”
Then the dragon warned:
“I must refine the pure-yang essence.
But beware — powerful figures are approaching.
Leave immediately.”
Fang Han snapped back to reality.
“Hongyi,”
he said urgently.
“Someone is coming. We leave now.”
He donned the Blood-Cotton Demon Robe, summoned a swirl of yellow river-water, and swallowed Crimson Prince’s corpse into the Yellow Spring.
Then crimson light carried both of them across the desert sky.
Moments later —
Two figures descended.
One was Yuan Jiankong, bowing deeply.
Before him stood a man in plain green robes, floating through the air by sheer physical cultivation.
His name:
Hua Tiandu.
Master of Heavenly Capital Peak.
First True Disciple of Yuhua Sect.
Owner of the Heavenly Rooster Pure-Yang Rope.
