A Spectral Bloody play

“Please, help me,” she implored, her voice trembling with emotion.

Hearing the girl’s trembling voice, I spoke with concern, “Don’t worry, but what happened? Did something frighten you?”

“Hic- I don’t know, but I heard a terrifying voice,” she replied, her fear palpable.

Her response confirmed my suspicions. “Did you hear the sound of breaking glass as well?” I inquired, trying to piece together the puzzle.

“U-Uhh… I think so,” she said, her voice wavering.

As I listened to her response, a realization dawned on me.

The shattered window couldn’t be a mere coincidence. Something must have broken through it “Hmm… the window can’t break on its own.

Something must have gone through the window,” I thought, my mind racing to find an explanation.

“Heavy winds are out of the question, as we are not on high floors. That leaves us with only one possibility.”

With a sense of determination, I took a step closer to the girl and extended my hand in a reassuring gesture.

“My name is Loid. You can trust me. Together, we’ll figure out what’s happening and find a way to keep you safe.”

Though the truth was uncertain, I couldn’t ignore the feeling that our encounter was more than happenstance.

Her eyes met mine, and for a fleeting moment, I sensed a spark of hope in her expression.

She grasped my hand, her trembling fingers finding solace in the warmth of mine,

I happily accept her hand and smiled

As she spoke, something felt off about the situation. Her hand, which I had held just moments ago, was unnaturally cold, sending shivers down my spine. An instinctive intuition surged within me, warning of an imminent danger.

The realization hit me like a bolt of lightning. “Something is not right,” I thought, my mind racing with urgency. I needed to be cautious, as my intuition screamed that we were in peril.

<Intuition>

In a split second, I acted on my instincts. I swiftly pulled my hand away from hers and quickly moved backward, creating a safe distance between us.

*BAM!

*THUD!

With uncanny speed, the girl unleashed her power, freezing the ground beneath her feet in an instant. My heart pounded in my chest as I watched in awe and dread at her supernatural abilities.

As I stood several meters away, I observed her more closely. A cold aura surrounded her, and large icicle spears hovered ominously on her back. Her appearance was both mesmerizing and chilling, as if she was a creature from a realm beyond comprehension.

“This is not a safe place. I need to get away,” I thought, my survival instincts taking over.

“What are you thinking, brother~” she said, her voice now alluring and unsettling, as she pointed her hand at me, conjuring an icicle spear aimed in my direction.

In the blink of an eye, my mind raced to assess the situation, searching for a solution. I activated my <Calm Mind> and <Comprehension> abilities, allowing my thoughts to flow like a rushing river.

At that moment, time seemed to slow down. My body moved with unprecedented speed as I ducked slightly and focused my

<Psychokinesis>

on the ground beneath me.

A powerful force field materialized, counteracting gravity’s pull.

The sudden force hurled me away from the incoming icicle spear, propelling me towards the safety of the door.

*THUD

My body crashed against the door with considerable force, but it swung open in response, offering me an escape route from this hazardous encounter. I stumbled through the doorway, my heart pounding, and my mind racing with adrenaline.

I continued to run down the corridor, my heart pounding in my chest. “Crazy things always happen with me,” I thought as I sprinted, desperate to escape the haunting presence of the spectral girl.

*SWOOSH!

Suddenly, a rush of heavy winds swept through the corridor, sending a shiver down my spine. Instinctively, I glanced back, only to be met with an unsettling sight.

*BAAM!

The girl had not come from behind me as I had expected. Instead, she emerged from a crack in the wall, like a phantom appearing from the very fabric of Eldoria itself.

“Oh! Brother~ why did YOU LEAVE ME ALONE?!” she shouted, her voice a mixture of hurt and malevolence.

‘When did I get so many sisters?!’ I facepalmed at this

“Bad BRO~” she said sadistically, and once again, she pointed her hand at me, conjuring an icicle spear aimed directly at my heart.

With the icicle spear rapidly closing in on me, I knew I had to act quickly. Drawing upon my abilities, I activated <Psychokinesis> once more, this time focusing on the incoming projectile.

With a burst of concentration, I halted the icicle spear’s deadly trajectory and turned it around in mid-air, aiming it back at the girl who had conjured it.

A flicker of surprise crossed her spectral features as she realized her own weapon had been turned against her. The icicle spear hovered menacingly in front of her, poised to strike at her command.

Her eyes narrowed, uncertainty evident in her gaze. For a moment, it seemed as though she might relent, but the anger in her expression persisted.

With a swift motion, I commanded my psychokinetic abilities, and the icicle spear hurled towards her.

*SWOOSH

As the spear closed in on her, a sinister smirk spread across her face. To my horror, the spear seemed to pass through her like water, leaving her unharmed.

Realizing the futility of my efforts, fear gripped my heart. The world seemed to conspire against me, leaving me with a chilling sense of helplessness.

“G-G-GHOST!!!” I shouted in terror and sprinted as fast as my legs could carry me.

<PAUSE>

A/N: *Cough

Grey/Loid has a deep-seated fear of ghosts, which stems from a traumatic experience related to them, making them more frightened of apparitions than monsters.

<PLAY>

As I ran blindly, fear blinding my senses, I suddenly collided with something or someone.

“Hey, kid, at least run by looking in front, do you?” a hoarse voice chastised me.

As I opened my eyes, I found myself face to face with a person – a man much taller than me, with long white hair that completely covered his eyes.

His pale skin added to the mysterious aura surrounding him, and he was dressed in a black sweatshirt with a long red coat that cascaded down to his knees.

Around his neck hung a luxurious gold chain, exuding an air of extravagance. He was equipped with black trousers, completing his enigmatic appearance.

Despite the fear still coursing through my veins, I couldn’t help but feel a sense of intrigue about this person before me. His presence was unlike anything I had encountered in Eldoria so far, and his appearance seemed to hold a connection to the realm’s mysteries.

“W-Who are you?” I stammered, my voice quivering with trepidation and curiosity.

The man gave a small, enigmatic smile, his eyes hidden beneath his long white bangs. “Names have little meaning in a place like this,” he replied cryptically with a hoarse voice

‘Is… his throat sore?’ I thought baffled

The man’s cryptic reply and hoarse voice only deepened the mystery surrounding him. “Is… his throat sore?” I wondered, puzzled by his peculiar demeanor.

“Don’t worry, now that I’m here, no one can touch you in my presence,” he assured me, placing a reassuring hand on my shoulder.

His words brought a sense of comfort, but I couldn’t shake off my wariness around him.

It seemed he held power and knowledge far beyond my understanding, making him a formidable presence in this otherworldly realm.

As he turned to face the spectral girl, a curious interaction unfolded before me. He addressed her with familiarity, as if he knew her already.

“Oh… You’re the one?” he mused, stroking his chin in contemplation.

“Oh, how nice! My day has come! I got another brother to play with~ and a handsome one at that~” the girl replied, her tone laced with a sadistic playfulness.

A mixture of confusion and disbelief washed over me as I watched the interaction between the two.

“Oh thank you… little girl” He said with a mischief

“…” The man seemed to be provoking her with his responses, eliciting a maniacal laughter from the spectral girl.

“AHAHHAHAHHA!” The girl laughed hysterically

like a maniac… no she is a maniac through and through

Her laughter echoed through the corridor like a haunting melody. Tears appeared in her eyes as she wiped them off, finding delight in the strange exchange.

“No one ever has told me something like this… Hey, tall brother, how about we play~ please~” she coaxed, her sadistic grin never fading.

“Sure, sure… let this brother play with you,” he replied, winking playfully and slipping one hand into his trouser’s pocket.

As expected, she swiftly threw another icy spear at him, faster and deadlier than before.

But to my surprise, the icy spear vanished as soon as it entered his radius.

*SMIRK

The man smirked, and I noticed him point his finger to his lips in a secretive gesture.

‘Is that some spell?’ I thought, trying to comprehend the enigma before me.

As the man conjured spears dyed in a blood-like hue, a new power was revealed –

<Hemokinesis>

The man’s attack proved ineffective as the blood-spears moved at an unexpectedly slow pace.

“Huh? What?” I thought, astonished by this display of power.

“Tall Bro this isn’t time for jokes you know!” The girl shouted in anger as she thought she is being underestimated

Unfazed by the girl’s anger, the man continued to jest,

“But I thought we ‘were’ playing, wasn’t it?” he added with a smile.

I looked at him in disbelief, trying to make sense of his unpredictable behavior. It was clear that he held a level of power beyond comprehension, and yet, he chose to engage with the spectral girl in an almost playful manner.

The girl grew frustrated by his actions, determined to assert herself. She conjured numerous ice spears, preparing to attack us once more.

But before she could unleash her assault, the man executed

<Blood Stasis>

with a simple swipe of his fingers. The girl froze in place, paralyzed by his power.

With another fluid gesture,

<Hemokinetic Construct>

he commanded a massive bloody spear to appear behind the girl, and it pierced through her body.

Her eyes widened in shock and pain, but she was unable to move or utter a sound. The room filled with an eerie silence as the blood-soaked spear suspended her in a state of agony.

Despite her malevolent nature, a pang of sympathy washed over me as I witnessed her suffering.

The man’s expression softened, and for a moment, I saw a glimmer of remorse in his eyes. “This punishment is necessary,” he said somberly, as if seeking to justify his actions.

As the seconds passed, the girl’s struggles ceased, and she stared blankly ahead, her pain seemingly dulled by the <Blood Stasis>.

It was an eerie sight, and I couldn’t help but feel a mix of awe and unease at the man’s seemingly god-like power.

“Come, let’s go,” he said to me, breaking the silence

Before leaving, he retrieved a small cube from within his coat pocket and threw it towards the girl, who remained suspended in the <Blood Stasis>

The cube emitted a faint glow, casting an eerie red light in the dim chamber. I watched in bewilderment, unsure of its purpose or the significance of the crimson radiance.

“What is that?” I asked, my curiosity getting the better of me.

The man’s enigmatic smile returned as he replied, “Consider it a parting gift, a token to remember this encounter by.”
