1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using ChapterChase (the "Platform"), operated by Vision Web (sole proprietor: Ujjwal Dadhich), you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Platform. These terms apply to all visitors, users, authors, and others who access or use the Platform.

2. Use of the Platform

ChapterChase provides a platform for reading and publishing novels, participating in forums, and engaging with blog content.

  • Eligibility: You must be at least 13 years old to use the Platform.
  • Account Security: You are responsible for safeguarding your password and for any activities or actions under your account.
  • Prohibited Conduct: You agree not to use the Platform for any unlawful purpose, to solicit others to perform or participate in any unlawful acts, or to violate any international, federal, or state regulations.

3. Content and Intellectual Property

ChapterChase hosts various types of content:

  • User-Generated Content: Authors and translators retain ownership of the original text they submit. By posting content, you grant ChapterChase a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display, distribute, and promote your work on the Platform.
  • Public Domain Works: We host works that are in the public domain or licensed for distribution (e.g., from Project Gutenberg).
  • Translations: Users may submit translations of works. It is the responsibility of the translator to ensure they have the right to translate and publish the work.
  • Platform Content: The design, logos, and software of ChapterChase are the property of Vision Web and protected by intellectual property laws.

4. Monetization, Points, and Subscriptions

ChapterChase offers several ways for users to support authors and access premium features:

  • Digital Points: Users can purchase digital points to unlock specific chapters or content. These points are non-refundable and have no cash value outside the Platform.
  • Subscriptions: We offer subscription plans for ad-free reading and early access to content. Subscriptions are billed on a recurring basis.
  • Author Engagement: Digital points are used for community engagement and unlocking content. They have no monetary value and cannot be withdrawn or converted to cash.

5. Copyright Policy (DMCA)

We respect the intellectual property rights of others. If you believe your work has been copied in a way that constitutes copyright infringement, please provide our Copyright Agent with a notice containing the following information:

  • Description of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed.
  • Location of the material on our Platform.
  • Your contact information (address, phone number, and email).
  • A statement by you that you have a good faith belief that the disputed use is not authorized.

6. Forums and Community Guidelines

Our forums and blog comments are intended for constructive discussion. We reserve the right to remove content or ban users who engage in harassment, spam, or post inappropriate materials.

7. Limitation of Liability

ChapterChase is provided "as is" and "as available." We do not warrant that the Platform will be uninterrupted or error-free. In no event shall Vision Web or ChapterChase be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

8. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Vision Web is based, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
